Milo Dean Howell

Milo D. Howell, 85, of 1821 Kemble Ave., died at 7:22 p.m. Tuesday in Medco Center. Mr. Howell retired from the former Studebaker Corp. He was born Aug. 29, 1900, in North Liberty, and was a lifelong area resident.

 

His first wife, the former Myrtle Nolen, died in 1956. On Oct. 12, 1962, in South Bend, he married the former Alice Dering, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Dolores Dirinsky of Lakeville; a stepdaughter, Shirley Seifert of Mishawaka; two sons, John of South Bend and Ronald of North Liberty; a stepson, Richard Dering of South Bend; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Irene Bunch and Esther Day, both of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Zahoran Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Olive Branch United Brethren Church.
