Myrtle Gertrude Howell

 The body of Mrs. Milo D. Howell, about 55, of 1715 Kemble Ave., was found in bed in her home about 11:30 a.m. today. Police Sgt. Cornelius Nicholas said the death appeared to be due to natural causes and added a doctor said he was treating Mrs. Howell for a heart ailment.

Nicholas said the body was found by a son-in-law who checked the house after his wife received no answer when he phoned the residence. Mrs. Howell's husband had left for work earlier in the day, police said.

Funeral services for Mrs. Milo D. Howell, 1715 Kemble Ave., who was found dead in her home Monday morning, will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Olive Branch Evangelical United Brethren Church near Lakeville, Ind. Rev. Orin Monger, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Archie Lemna, Jesse Hinkle, Thomas Hays, Marvin Jones, Charles Springman and Claude McEndarfer.

 

Friends may call in the Brink Funeral Home in Lakeville from 7 p.m. today until 11 a.m. Thursday when the body will be taken to the church.

 

Mrs. Howell was born in St. Joseph County July 24, 1905, and came to South Bend in 1923 at the time of her marriage in Chicago to Milo D. Howell. He survives along with two sons, John, of Lakeville, and Ronald, of North Liberty, Ind., a daughter, Mrs. Delores Derinski, South Bend; six grandchildren; a brother, Shannon Nolen, Lakeville, and four sisters, Mrs. Margie Finch, New Troy, Ind., and Mrs. Gertrude Tumbleson, Mrs. Maude Donathen and Mrs. Ethel Shafer, Lakeville.
