SOUTH BEND - Dianne Hubbard, 59, lost her courageous battle of five years on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, in Hospice House with her husband Wayne holding her hand. She was born August 28, 1948, in Traverse City, MI.

On July 31, 1986, in South Bend, IN, as Dianne Crain, she married Wayne Hubbard, who survives. Also surviving are sons, William and Ronald Griner, who both reside in Florida; a daughter, Dee Dee Sue Griner, who resides in Long Island, NY; and three grandchildren, Natalie, Hannah and Heather Griner. Her son, Steven Griner, preceded her in death. Dianne worked as a waitress for several area restaurants. She worked at Top Notch Restaurant until her illness forced her to retire in September 2002. Dianne lived life to the fullest. Her favorite pastimes were collecting antiques, going to auctions, shopping in Chicago, and most of all, taking care of her flowers. She is going to be missed by her many friends and her constant companions, her hound dogs, Jennifer, Willa Mae and Penelope.

A gathering will be held to celebrate the life of Dianne Hubbard at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 8, 2007, in Wayne's home, 26178 Grant Road, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615, to defray final expenses.
