SOUTH BEND - Sophie B. Hudak, 84, of
Regency Place, formerly of Pulaski Street, died at 9:05 p.m.
Monday in the nursing home. Mrs. Hudak was born March 24, 1910,
in South Bend.
On June 24, 1929, in South Bend, as Sophie
B. Olejniczak, she married Thaddeus E. Hudak. He died in
1977. She is survived by two sons, Paul of Mishawaka and Ken of
Sumpter, S.C.; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and
three sisters, Louise Lisek and Gertrude Ritchie,
both of South Bend, and Helen Siatkowski of Mishawaka.
Three sons preceded her in death. She was a member of Polish
Women's Democratic Club and Senior Citizens Club, Civic Club,
Rosary and Adoration Society, all of St. Casimir's Catholic
Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the
church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call
from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a
rosary will be said at 2:30 p.m. by Senior Citizens Club.
