Cora Huff

April 20, 1924 - June 6, 2001

Cora "Naomi" Huff, 77, of Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton, Ind., formerly of North Liberty and Koontz Lake, passed away at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, in Miller's Merry Manor.

Naomi was born April 20, 1924, in North Liberty, Ind., to George and Cora Ellen (Ort) Heim, and lived in the area all of her life. On Feb. 4, 1945, in North Liberty, she was married to Ward L. Huff, who preceded her in death Oct. 22, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her son, Steve Huff.

She is survived by one daughter, Diana Hevel of North Liberty; one son, David Huff of North Liberty; one sister, Hazel Beldon of Mishawaka, Ind.; two brothers, Bill and Alfred Heim, both of Walkerton; and by four grandchildren, Steven and Jamie Hevel, and Nicole and Lindsey Huff.

Naomi was a former employee of American Home Foods, LaPorte, Ind.

Private graveside services will take place at a later date at Porter Cemetery, North Liberty. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.

Contributions in memory of Naomi may be made to St. Joseph County Hospice.
