Dolores J. Hulecki

Feb. 22, 1928 - June 9, 2003

                                       

Dolores J. Hulecki, 75, of South Spring Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 12:26 p.m. Monday, June 9, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Dolores was born on Feb. 22, 1928, in Mishawaka, as the daughter of the late Riley and May (Holbrook) Hicks.

On May 14, 1949, in Mishawaka, as the former Dolores Hicks, she married Pete P. Hulecki, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Sandra "Sandi" Sebastian of Mishawaka and Patricia "Pat" (Ed) Lewis of Westminster, Colo.; two sons, Dr. Philip Hulecki of Mishawaka and Gregory (Cindy) Hulecki of Acton, Mass.; seven grandchildren, Maurgan and Meredith Hulecki, Sirena, Stefanie and Hilary Sebastian, Andrew and Lacy Hulecki; and by two brothers, Robert Hicks of Clearwater, Fla., and Dewayne Hicks of South Bend, Ind.

Dolores worked for Steel Fabricating Division for 23 years, then for INDOT Toll Road Division for 5 1/2 years before retiring in 1995. She was a lifetime area resident, a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, and was a volunteer at Saint Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka. Dolores was a loving, caring, wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where there will be wake prayers at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, in St. Bavo Catholic Church, with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
