WILLIAM E. HUMPHREY

William E. Humphrey, 88 of 19464 E. Auten Road, died Wednesday in his home. A carpenter, he was born in South Bend on January 8, 1875. His wife the former Nettie Meyer, preceded him in death. He is survived by three sons, William J. of South Bend, Aloysius of Plymouth and Marvin E. of El Cajon, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. A. Viola Haney, Ms. Harlan Orr, Mrs. Iva R. Bueche and Mrs. Joseph Horvath, all of South Bend, and Mrs. Joseph N. Cochran of Mishawaka; 20 grand children; 31 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Hardman, of South Bend. Friends may call after p.m. today at the Hickey Funeral Home. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Catholic Church.

HUMPREY – Pallbearers at services for William E. Humphrey, 86, who died Wednesday in his home at 19464 E. Auten Rd., were his grand-nephews, Melvin, Russell, John and James Humphrey, Royal and Clyde E. Hartman. Services were conducted today in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. The Hickey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
