MISHAWAKA - William J. "Bill" Hums, 81, passed
away in the early morning hours on Sunday, August 24, 2008, in
Golden Living Center Fountainview, Mishawaka. Bill was born on
June 26, 1927, in Mishawaka, to Fred and Rose (Trion)
Hums. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother,
James Hums. On July 17, 1954, in St. Matthew Cathedral, South
Bend, he married the former Dorothy Horvath. Surviving are
his loving wife, Dorothy; a sister, Mary Kay Bogan;
brother, Thomas (Donna) Hums, both of Mishawaka; several nieces
and nephews. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army Air
Corps where he served his country during WW II. He was a member
of St. Matthew Cathedral, South Bend, and had served St. Matthew
Cathedral as an usher for over 30 years.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday,
August 27, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505
W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held
at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28th, in St. Matthew's Cathedral,
South Bend, with Rev. Mike Heintz officiating. Entombment will be
at a later date in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum, Mishawaka.

donor's choice.
