Donald A. Hunsberger
Donald A. Hunsberger, 82, of Wyatt,
passed away Friday evening at 8:23 p.m. in Saint Joseph Regional
Medical Center, Mishawaka, after an illness.
Donald was born on July 12, 1923, as the son of Elmer and Nora (Schalliol) Hunsberger.
On September 26, 1942, in Mishawaka he
married the former Leola Schlemmer. She preceded him in
death on January 17, 1997. Donald was also preceded in death by
two brothers, Omer and James Hunsberger.
Donald is survived by two daughters, Mary
and her husband, Bruce Zakrzewski of Mishawaka and
Nancilou and her husband, Richard Koch of South Bend; two
sons, Thomas and his wife, Jill Hunsberger of South Bend and
Donald and his wife, Mary Beth of Montpelier, Indiana; 11
grandchildren, David Hunsberger, Mary Anne Hunsberger, Amy Herbertz,
Ryan Hunsberger, Melissa Hunsberger, Kristin Hunsberger, Brad
Koch, Jeff Koch, Leslie Shedd, Matthew La Vine and
Anne Marie Zakrzewski; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Donald was a Veteran of the United States
Army, a lifetime member of St. Johns United Church of Christ
Woodland. Donald Retired in 1986 after Forty years at Wyatt
Lumber & Coal Company.
Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on
Tuesday, May 30, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street,
Mishawaka, and one hour prior to service at church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.
Wednesday, May 31, in St. John United Church of Christ Woodland
with Rev. Kenneth Seiffertt officiating. Burial will follow at
St. John Cemetery, Woodland.
