MISHAWAKA - Ruth M. Hunter, 71, of Eastgate
Circle, died at 2:56 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital after
an illness. Mrs. Hunter retired in 1989 from Burcliff Industries
after 20 years of service. She was born July 17, 1922, in
Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary J. Barrett
of Crystal Lake, Ill.; two sons, Robert H. Jr. of Mishawaka and
David L. of North Liberty; seven grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosa B. Weikel of Elkhart;
and a brother, Charles E. Weikel Jr. of South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Bubb
Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in
the funeral home.
