SOUTH BEND- Donald Husvar, 70, of
Silver Maple Court, died of natural causes at 11:10 p.m. Monday
in his home. Mr. Husvar retired from Mastic Corp. and had worked
at AlliedSignal in the purchasing department and Erskine Golf
Course as a ranger. He was born Aug. 3, 1925, in South Bend.
On Nov. 11, 1947, in South Bend, he married
Rachel Walker. She survives with a daughter, Cheryl Zanotti-Speheger
of Granger; a son, Floyd L. of South Bend; a granddaughter; and a
sister, Rita Tusing of Oklahoma City. He was a Navy
veteran of World War II and a member of St. Matthew Cathedral and
past president of Men's Golf Association at Erskine Golf Course.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest
G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Burial will be in
Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in
the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American
Heart Association or Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
