Estella T. Hutchison, 93, of North Lexington Street, South Bend, passed away at 7:25 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31 in Fountainview Place Nursing Home, Mishawaka, Ind. She was born May 23, 1907 in Kosciusko County, Ind. to John and Ida Yenna, who preceded her in death.

On Sept. 1, 1923, in St. Joseph, Mich., she married Matthew Hutchison. He died in October of 1968. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Greg Knisley; a son-in-law, Clarence Knisley; two sisters, Alice Seymore and Nellie James; and a brother, Bob Yenna. Surviving is her daughter, Elouise Knisley of Mishawaka; three grandchildren, Ronald (Carol) Knisley of Bremen, Ind., Janice (Jeff) Harr of Flora, Ill., and Nancy Knisley of Mishawaka; six great-grandchildren, Mike (Shannon) Souza of Mishawaka, Michelle (Dan) Flanders of Maryland, Tracie (Jeremy) Vermillian of Bremen, Stacey (Eric) Headley of Bremen, Kristi Karr of Flora, Ill. and Kelli Harr of Texas; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rosalie Markin of Mishawaka.

Mrs. Hutchison was a member of Ardmore Brethren Church, South Bend. She was also past president of the American Legion Post 161 Auxiliary Mishawaka. She was a member of Post 284 Auxiliary and was past district and state President of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.
