Lucille T. Inks

Dec. 19, 1913 - May 8, 2000

Lucille Theresa (Stegmann) Inks, 86, passed away on Monday, May 8, in the home of her son, William Inks, at Eagle Lake, Edwardsburg, Mich.

Lucille was born on Dec. 19, 1913, in Detroit, Mich., to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stegmann. On Feb 5, 1933, she married Chester William Inks of South Bend, Ind. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jack E. Inks. She had resided in South Bend from 1918 to the present time.

She is survived by a son, William A. (Patt) Inks of Edwardsburg; a sister, Frieda Smith of Tucson, Ariz.; and by eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Inks was a member of Saint Anthony de Padua Parish Church and Rosary and Altar society, and was a prefect of the Rosary Society. She was a retired member of the United Food and Commercial Workers (Retail Clerks) of Local #37, as well as a past board member of this local. She was also a member of the Tuesday/Thursday Howard Park Senior Citizen's Club, where she was a past officer. Mrs. Inks retired from the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P Food).

Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, May 10, in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, in the Saint Anthony de Padua Parish Church on the corner of Jefferson and Ironwood Drive, South Bend, and then to Highland Cemetery for final rest.

Mrs. Inks has requested no flowers. Donations may be made to the Cancer Society or to Hospice.
