Mary Irvin

GRANGER - Mary Csaszar Irvin, 93, of Granger, IN, peacefully moved to her heavenly home on April 10, 2010, from Hospice House in Roseland. Born and raised in South Bend, IN, she and her beloved husband, Linden D. Irvin, made their home on Moss Road in Ardmore until he passed away in 1997. Mary was a teller at 1st Source Bank for 20 years and a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, having served as a deaconess there at one time. At 65 years of age she was pitching for the Calvary Baptist ladies' softball team. She and her husband volunteered at Missionary Press. She enjoyed sports, gardening, antiquing, poetry, road trips, posing her grandchildren for photos, and her porcelain doll collection. She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Gamble of Granger, IN, and Linda Kaufmann, and her son-in-law, Roy Kaufmann of Wheaton, IL. Mary was a loving and dearly loved grandmother to Michael Gamble and Marty Day, Gary and Charlene Gamble, Sue Gamble, Karman and Dana Morey, Nancy and Thomas Boos. She was a loving great-grandmother to Elizabeth Boos, Marlene and Chuck Bullen, Linden Gamble, Tricia Gamble, Joshua Mabie, Steven Mabie, Alyssa Spears, David Spears, Lorraine Smith, Marshall Bledsoe and Monique Day; and great-great-grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Jamie Smith, Chelsea Bledsoe, Anthony Dydo, Romera Boston, Kyndra Gamble, Jaron Bullen and Morgan Sharp. Mary is also survived by her sister-in-law, Delores Rach, and brother-in-law, Roy Rach, and was the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved son-in-law, Ronald L. Gamble, and all of her siblings and their spouses, Elizabeth Csaszar, who passed away at age 12, Paul and Mary Csaszar, Rose and Chester Daszynski, and Joseph and Frances Csaszar. Mary's loving family will miss her quick wit, her lively sense of humor and her wisdom. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, and from one hour prior to the 11:30 a.m. services on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
