5, 1947 - Feb. 24, 2010SOUTH BEND - Christine Istok, 62, of South Bend, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 24, in her residence. She was born July 5, 1947, in Washington, D.C., to the late George and Mary (Sthalcup) Markward. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, George Istok, who she married July 18, 2005, in South Bend. Christine was a former member of the Grange. She loved to boat with George on the Great Lake. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 5th, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Friends may visit with the family after services.
