SOUTH BEND - Dwight Fancis "Dike" Ivory, 56, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2007, in Lancaster, CA. He was born on April 15, 1951, in South Bend, to Cled and Patricia E. Ivory. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ed and Mary Bell Ivory, Opal and Sylvester Mullins; and by a brother, Charles Evans Foster. Survivors include his parents, Cled (Rose) Ivory of South Bend and Patricia Eleanor (Alfred) West of CA; sons, Braylin Powell Ivory of South Bend, Shaquille Ivory of Palmsdale, CA, and Ryan Scott of Chicago; brothers, Ronnie (Janice) Evans, Charlevans Jr., Fred Coker (Sue), Reginald Foster of Kalamazoo, MI; sisters, Cheryl Ivory Carr (Terry) of Kalamazoo, Patsy (Tyrone) Hill, Judy Evans of Los Angeles, Pandora Agnew (Jerome) of Omaha, NE, Opal Carr, Mable Evans, Candice (Paul) Ketchens, Shirley Lee, JoAnn (Alfred) Marcilous, Gloria Jones, and Laticia Dixon of Kalamazoo; special cousins, Shelia Ivory Holly and Cliffton Holly Jr. of Lancaster, CA; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dwight graduated from Central High School in 1970. He played basketball with the Central Bears. He attended Kent College in Michigan, and was a counselor for the Street Academy and Studebaker School.

 

Memorial services will be on Saturday at 2 p.m. in The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
