Sister M. Dorothy Cecile CSC, 66, died at 4:25 a.m. today in Saint Mary’s Convent. She was born Theresa Salkomea Jakowski on Oct 18, 1903 in South Bend and attended St. Hedwig School. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Feb. 1, 1920 and received her habit Aug. 15, 1920. She took her final vows in 1925. She taught in parochial schools throughout the country from 1921 to 1947, and was assigned duties in other convents of the Congregation from 1947 to 1965.

The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the convent where services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery at St. Mary’s.
