Deborah D. Jamieson

GRANGER - Deborah D. Jamieson, 46, of State Road 23, died at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, Ind. She was born on March 10, 1951, in Hagerstown, Md., and had lived in South Bend, Ind., the last 20 years.

 

On June 26, 1981, in Granger, Ind., as Deborah Detrow, she married Samuel John Jamieson, Jr., who survives. She is also survived by her parents, George and Martha (Mowen) Detrow of South Bend; and by a brother and a sister.

 

Mrs. Jamieson was a school psychologist for Goshen Community Schools. She graduated from high school in 1969, and attended junior college from 1969 to 1971 where she received an Associate's degree. From 1971 to 1973 she attended Centenary College in Shreveport, La., where she received her Bachelor's degree and then, from 1974 to 1976, she attended Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Ind., where she received her Master's degree. She attended Harris Prairie Church of Christ.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Rev. Edgar Erskin of the Northway Church of Christ will officiate.

 

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, Indiana, Inc., 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
