Daniel Janicki

SOUTH BEND - Services for Daniel Janicki, 74, of Johnson Road, who died Friday in Memorial Hospital of natural causes, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church of South Bend. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the soup kitchen of the church.

 

Mr. Janicki retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. as a salesman after 44 years of service. He was born June 26, 1919, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

 

On Aug. 8, 1942, in South Bend, he married Christine Marnocha. She died in August 1989. Surviving are two daughters, Janice Farabaugh and Peggy Weldy, both of South Bend; four sons, Daniel of Elkhart, Lewis of Walkerton, and Leigh and Elliot, both of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Amanda DeBeuysser of South Bend.
