Mrs. Peter Jaworski

September 10, 1891 - May 8, 1956

 

Mrs. Bertha L. Jaworski, 137 N. Olive St., died in Memorial Hospital at 4:40pm Tuesday after a short illness.

 

Born in South Bend, September 10, 1891, she was married on July 12, 1912 as Miss Bertha Nowacki to Peter Jaworski, who survives with four sons, Albert, Bernard & Leonard, all of South Bend, and Chester, Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Pauwels, South Bend; a sister, Mrs. Stella Schultz, Milford MI; four brothers, Frank, Sylvester, Alexander and Casimir Nowacki, all of South Bend; 15 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

 

Friends may call after 7pm today in the Kaniewski & Son Chapel.  The funeral will be held at 9am Friday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Sigmund A. Jankowski, CSC, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Jaworski had been financial secretary for ten years of Poland Resurrected Society 305, Polish Women's Alliance.  She also was a member of the Women's Apostleship of Prayer which will recite the rosary at 7:30pm today.

 

 

Funeral Notes

The pallbearers for Mrs. Bertha Jaworski, 137 N. Olive St., who died Tuesday, will be Edwin Kuzmicz, Irvin, Edward, Robert and Frank Nowacki Jr and Richard Gleason.  The Daughters of Isabella will recite the rosary at 8pm today in the Kaniewski & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held at 9am Friday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church with burial in Highland Cemetery.
