Peter Jaworski

August 12, 1888 - June 20, 1962

 

Peter Jaworski, 73, of 137 N. Olive St., died at 5:30am today in St Joseph's Hospital after a six week illness.

 

A lifetime resident, he was born here on August 12, 1888.  His wife, Bertha, died on May 8, 1956.  He was a postal employee for 49 years, retiring seven years ago.  He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Pauwels, of South Bend; four sons, Albert of Elkhart, Chester of Mishawaka and Bernard & Leonard, both of South Bend; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Rose Bogenrieder, of South Bend. He was a member of the National Assn. of Retired Civil Service Employees.

 

Friends may call after 7pm Thursday in Kaniewski & Son Funeral Home.  Services will be at 11am Saturday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Roman Ladewski, CSC, officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

 

Funeral Notes

Nephews of Peter Jaworski, 137 N Olive St., who died Wednesday, who will serve as pallbearers are George, Walter & Frank Kashmer, Bert, Leo & Edward Konopinski.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church, with Rev. Roman Ladewski, CSC, officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

 

Friends may call after 7pm today in the Kaniewski & Son Funeral Home.  The rosary will be recited there at 8pm today by St Stanislaus Senior Choir and there will also be a rosary at 7:30pm Friday in the Funeral Home.
