NEW CARLISLE – Helen M. Jedrzejewski, 81, of Miller’s Merry Manor, formerly of South Bend, died at 3:55 p.m. Monday in the nursing home. Mrs. Jedrzejewski was born May 20, 1905, in South Bend, and lived in New Carlisle for 46 years. On Aug. 6, 1928, as Helen Janowiak, she married Edward Jedrzejewski. He died July 1, 1972. She is survived by four daughters, Rita Leszczynski of South Bend, JoAnne Machowiak of New Carlisle, Susan Ray of South Gate, Calif., and Helen Tryan of Three Oaks; a son, Edward of Peru, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Terre Coupee. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, South Bend, where the Altar and Rosary Society will say the rosary at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
