BERNARD J. JERZAKOWSKI

    Bernard J. Jerzakowski, 56 of 1027 Good Place, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center after a brief illness. He was employed by the Uniroyal, Inc., for 39 years. Born on May 20, 1924 in South Bend, he lived here all his life. In 1950, he married Gertrude Goodman, who died in 1967. On October 27, 1979, he married Mary Jo Ratliff, who survives. Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Webster of South Bend and Mrs. Deborah Johnson of Niles; a stepson, Jerome Salyers of Niles; three grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Clementine Jerzakowski and Mrs. Delphine Glaser, both of South Bend; and a brother, Edmund of Elkhart.

     Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rev. Stephen Sedlock, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. He was a World War II Army veteran.
