Brother Emmanuel Jobin CSC, 65, of the Holy Cross House at Notre Dame after a long illness. Born Aug. 15, 1909 in Chicago, he entered the Congregation of Holy Cross at Notre Dame on July 1, 1929. He made his final profession of vows on July 2, 1933. Until 1951 he served at St. Joseph Farm in Granger, as housekeeper and sacristan. He then served in the Community Infirmary as a practical nurse and housekeeper. Active in the Boy Scouts, he was scoutmaster for Troop 562 in Granger, for nine years. In 1964 he was the first member of a religious order to receive the St. George medal from the Boy Scouts. Surviving are several brothers.

 

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Moreau Seminary, with burial in the community cemetery on the campus at Notre Dame. Friends may call after 1:30 p.m. today in Moreau Seminary, where a wake will be at 7:30 p.m. today.
