Alice M. Johnson

March 28, 1906 - July 21, 1996

Alice M. Johnson, 90, formerly of Mishawaka, Ind., died Sunday, July 21, at her son's home in Vandalia, Mich., after an illness.

Alice was born on March 28, 1906, in Philadelphia, Penn., coming to the Mishawaka area in 1954.

On April 29, 1927, in Elkton, Md., as Alice Rubincam, she married Harry K. Johnson, who preceded her in death on April 29, 1983.

She is survived by a daughter, Anne Birrell of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a son, with whom she made her home, Charles K. Johnson of Vandalia, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Rubincam of Coatesville, Penn.

Funeral services for Alice will take place on Wednesday, July 24 at 1 p.m. in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd St., Mishawaka, Ind., where visitation will also take place today from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to time of services onWednesday. Her final resting place will be St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Ind.
