Dies in Theater.

George W. Johnson Is Stricken With Heart Failure.

 

Stricken with heart failure while witnessing the matinee performance at the Palace theater Sunday afternoon about 3 o’clock.  George W. Johnson, age 58, died within a few minutes after he was moved from his seat to the mezzanine foyer.  A physician was called but Mr. Johnson was dead before he arrived.  Dr. C.B. Crumpacker, coroner, declared death the result of heart disease, with which Mr. Johnson had been afflicted for some time.  The body was taken to the N.L. Jones undertaking establishment.

Mr. Johnson was born in St. Joseph county, March 13, 1866, and had resided in this vicinity all his life.  He was a retired farmer.

Surviving are four children, George Jr., William, Mary and Donnabelle and one sister, Mrs. Grace Mitchell, all of this city.
