Mrs. Nancy Chapman Jones, 87, of 729 Cottage Grove Ave., died at 8:15 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after a two-week illness. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the WSCS. She was born in Hartford, W. Va., on Jan. 6 1873 and had resides in South Bend since 1919. On Dec. 18, 1895 she was married to Fred G. Jones, who died in 1929. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Rachel Detwiler and Miss. Gayle Jones, both of South Bend, and Mrs. S.J. De Haan of Joliet, Ill.; a son, George F. Jones, of Aurora, Ill.; six grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Victor Newton, of St. Cloud, Fla.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Trinity Methodist Church with Rev. Edward Boase, pastor, and Rev. Harold Joyce, former pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
