SOUTH BEND - Jurczak, Dolores A. "Dee" 81, passed away Saturday evening in the Sanctuary at Holy Cross, South Bend, surrounded by her loving family. Dee was the second oldest of six children born to Edward and Irene (Cyman) Witucki, who preceded her in death along with her siblings, Robert Witucki, Frank "Buddy" Witucki, Patricia Witucki, Carolyn VanOverberge and Nancy Dombrowski. On May 31, 1951, she married Stanley Jurczak, who preceded her in death on November 24, 1995. Dee is survived by her two daughters, Shari (Richard Clark) Pullen and Jodie (Larry) Spradlin, both of South Bend; three sons, Dan (Lanece) Jurczak of North Port, FL, John and Jim Jurczak, both of South Bend. Also surviving are a "special" grandson, Ryan Pullen, Fort Wayne, IN; and granddaughters, Kim McGee, Mishawaka, and Danielle Jurczak of North Port, FL; three great-granddaughters, Kayla Pullen, Bremen, IN, Ariana and Jenna McGee of Mishawaka; sisters-in-law, Helen Witucki, St. Joseph, and Nancy Witucki, Port Richey, FL; and brothers-in-law, Eugene "Bud Budzinski and Tom Dombrowski, both of South Bend. Dee graduated in 1945 from Washington High School and worked at the Diana during her high school years. She worked for three years at Wilson Brothers and worked part-time at Kreamo Bakery from 1959 to 1972. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, D.F.V. Ladies Auxiliary, William Penn (Verhovay) and the "Bit O Fun Club." On March 17, 2008, mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Our family would like to thank two very special doctors, Dr. Wein and Dr. Yount. Also, Hospice caregivers and Sanctuary at Holy Cross nurses and CNAs for the care and compassion they showed our mom and family. A special thank you to her evening CNA, "Martin," who could always make her smile which he was able to do during the final days of her life. Our family cannot thank you enough for all you did for mom and our family. You were her "special angel."

 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Nov. 25th, from 2 to 8 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church.
