Mrs. Leo Jurgonski: (South Bend Tribune 7/1/1959)

Mrs. Anna (Anastasia) Jurgonski, 822 S. Harris St., died in the Whiteman Nursing Home, 1145 W. Napier St., at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday after a four-year illness. She was born in Poland Feb. 3, 1891, and came to South Bend 59 years ago from there. On. Nov. 5, 1912, in South Bend she was married to Leo Jurgonski, who survives. She was the former Miss Anna Sikorski. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Reiter and Mrs. Stella Skarupinski; four sons, Frank, Stanley, Richard and Daniel; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Regina Nowacki, and two brothers, Stephen and Frank Sikorski, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Casimir’s Catholic Church with Rev. Bernard N. Niemier, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mrs. Jurgonski was a member of the Ladies Holy Rosary Society, the Adoration Society, the Ladies Civic Club, all of St. Casimir’s Church, and Schuyler Colfax Post 3194, Ladies Auxiliary.
