Enich Jurgonski: (South Bend Tribune 7/21/1959)

Enich (Nick) Jurgonski, 613 S. Kosciusko St., died at 8:45 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in New Carlisle on Oct. 27, 1901, and had lived in South Bend most of his life. On Sept. 23, 1925, in St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church he married Esther Hazinski. Mr Jurgonski was employed as an inspector at the Studebaker – Packard Corp. Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Loretta Smigielski; a son, Edward; three grandchildren, all of South Bend; four sisters, Mrs. Josephine Rzepka of New Carlisle, Mrs. Sally Cencelewski, Mrs. Constance Buziak and Mrs. Tillie Kaminski, all of South Bend, and four brothers, Leo, Steve, Joseph and Valentine all of South Bend. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Patrick’s Church with Rev. Joseph Corcoran, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Jurgonski was a member of Group 1437, Polish National Alliance, the Chain O’Lakes Conservation Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
