Joseph Jurgonski: (South Bend Tribune 12/12/1994)

Jan. 25, 1896 – Dec 12, 1994 SOUTH BEND – Joseph (Urgonski) Jurgonski, 98, of South Camden Street, died at 2 a.m. today in St. Joseph’s Care Center – West. Mr. Jurgonski retired from Studebaker Corp. as a core maker after 44 years of service. He was born Jan. 25, 1896, in Terre Coupe and was a lifelong area resident. On Nov. 13, 1922, in Terre Coupe, he married Theresa Ogorkiewicz. She died in 1961. He is survived by a son, Edwin of South Bend; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of American Legion Pulaski Post 357 and St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, with military services conducted by American Legion Pulaski Post 357. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
