Miss Victoria Jurgonski: (South Bend Tribune 7/18/1956)

Miss Victoria Jurgonski, Rt. 1, New Carlisle, died at 5:30 a.m. today in the Fern Grove Nursing Home, 601 N. Main St., after an illness of five months. Born in New Carlisle Feb. 1, 1901, she lived in that community all her life. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Sally Cencelewski, Mrs. Constance Buziak, Mrs. Tillie Kaminski, all of South Bend, and Mrs. Josephine Rzepka, New Carlisle; five brothers, Leo, Joseph, Ignatius and Valentine Jurgonski, and Steve Urgonski, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Terre Coupe, with Rev. Thomas J. Depa, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Polish Cemetery. Miss Jurgonski was a member of the Daughters of Poland Society 21, Polish Women’s Alliance, and St. Anthony’s Club, of Terre Coupe. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday by the St. Anthony’s Club, 7:30 p.m. Friday by Father Depa, and 8 p.m. Friday by the Daughters of Poland Society.
