Sister Mary Vida CSC, 76, of St. Mary’s Convent, died Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend. She was born Maria Christina Just in Belgium on Dec. 15, 1876. She came to the United States in 1891 and entered the congregation that same year. She received the habit in 1892 and professed her vows in 1893. She has taught in Lancaster, Pa., Washington DCC, and schools in the Midwest province. Her most recent assignment was in Elkhart, where she became ill in 1951.

 

Friends may call at the convent parlors. Services will be in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception on Monday morning and burial will be in the community cemetery.
