Ralph E. Kaczmarek

August 3, 1942April 15, 1998

 

Ralph E. Kaczmarek, 5, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, at home.

 

He was born on August 3, 1942, in South Bend and was a resident of the South Bay for over 30 years.

 

He graduated from Washington High School in 1960, went to Bethel College in Mishawaka, and graduated form Ball State in 1964.

 

A teacher in the Palos Verdes Unified School District for 30 years, he was voted Teacher of the Year for one year.

 

In addition to his career as an educator, he traveled the world extensively and took great joy in taking graduating students to Europe for the last 15 years.

 

He is survived by his father, Elmer of Florida; and by his brother, Jim of Fountain Valley CA, and Andy, formerly of South Bend, who is now living in Chicago.

 

Visitation will be from 1 to 8pm on Friday, April 24, at the McCormick Redondo Beach Chapel in California.

 

Memorial services will be at 2pm on Saturday, April 25, at the Palos Verdes Peninsula High Performing Arts Center.
