OSCEOLA - Marilyn Jo Kadlec, 71, of Riverbend Drive,
Osceola, passed away following an illness at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday,
Aug. 19th, in Elkhart General Hospital. She was born in Mishawaka
on March 29, 1937, to Kenneth and Geraldine (Ullery) Englehart.
She married Joseph Kadlec in Elkhart. He died in April 2002. She
is survived by her mother, Geraldine Englehart of Elkhart; and
three sons, Michael (Kathi) Englehart of Granger, Mark
(Christeen) Valentin of Granger and Eric Valentin of
Mishawaka. Also surviving are six grandchildren and a brother,
Kenneth "Sonny" Englehart of Elkhart; and her cousins,
Cindy Frampton of Elkhart, Danielle Miller of
Niles, Michigan, and Sharon Burke of South Bend. Mrs.
Kadlec was a member of the Eastern Star (Valparaiso Chapter) and
was employed as a waitress for Bob Evans in Elkhart until her
retirement in 2001.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.
Friday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel where friends will be received
from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions may be made to
the American
Cancer Society.
