Sister M. Leopoldine CSC, 83, of the Sisters of Holy Cross, died Sunday afternoon in Saint Mary’s Convent after a prolonged illness. She was born Anna Kalfer in Austria in 1877 and came to this country in 1904. She received the habit of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1905 and made her profession of vows in 1910. During her community life she was stationed at St. Cecilia’s Academy, Washington DC; Sacred Heart Academy in Lancaster, Pa.; and intil her retirement a year ago, in the Province of the order.

 

A requiem high mass will be offered at 6 a.m. Tuesday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Mary’s and burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Friends may call in the convent parlor.
