Mrs. Hattie Kauffman

August 10, 1868 – May 1, 1965

Mrs. Hattie Kauffman, 96, of 601 S. Russell St., Mishawaka, died at 2:40am today in St Joseph’s Hospital, South Bend, following an illness of several months.

She was born August 10, 1868 in Bridgeton NJ, and had lived 30 years in Mishawaka coming from Winchester IN.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Lawson of Decatur MI; three sons, Chester of Indianapolis, George of Lancaster OH and Frank of the Indiana State Soldiers Home in Lafayette; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon Sunday in the Hollis Funeral Home.  Service will be at 1pm Monday in the funeral home.  Rev. Russell B. Kern, pastor of the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
