SOUTH BEND - Services for Rita P. Kazmierczak, 71, of Ardmore Trail, who died at 2:40 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where the rosary will be said at 4 p.m.

Mrs. Kazmierczak was a cashier for Municipal Parking Garage and was formerly employed at Enro Shirt Co. She was born Oct. 28, 1924, in South Bend, and was a lifetime area resident. On June 6, 1964, in South Bend, as Rita P. Kitkowski, she married Walter Kazmierczak. He died March 5, 1994. Surviving are a brother, Elias ''Kit'' Kitkowski of South Bend and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of American Legion Post 357 Ladies Auxiliary and the church.
