Walter J. Kazmierczak

June 17, 1922-March 5, 1994

SOUTH BEND - Walter J. Kazmierczak, 71, of Ardmore Trail, died at 5:20 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of natural causes. Mr. Kazmierczak retired from Weyerhaeuser Paper Co. and was a former employee of the University of Notre Dame. He was born June 17, 1922, in New York City and lived in South Bend most of his life. On June 6, 1964, in South Bend, he married Rita P. Kitkowski. She survives. He was a member of American Legion Pulaski Post 357 and a veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, where American Legion Pulaski Post 357 will conduct military services. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be at 7:30 p.m.
