Mrs. Frank Kazmierzak, sr.
Mrs. Apolonia Kazmierzak, sr., aged 60, of 1121 West Sample street, died at 8:23 o’clock Wednesday evening in her home following four months’ illness.
She was born in Otis, Ind., the oldest  Polish settlement in this state, May 12, 1874, and came to South Bend 50 years ago. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Anna Kiszka; the husband, Frank; five sons, Joseph, Andrew, Frank jr., Ignatius and Eligios; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Bartol and Mrs. Helen Staszewska; 26 grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew and George Kiszka, and a sister, Mrs, Mary Wieczorek. All are of South Bend except George Kiszka, of South Chicago, Ill.
The body may be viewed in the home.
The funeral will be held at 9 o’clock Monday morning from St. Casimir’s Roman Catholic church with Rev. Antony J. Rozewicz, C.S.C., pastor, chanting the high requiem mass.
Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Polish cemetery.
