James V. Knoblock

SOUTH BEND - James V. Knoblock, 71, of Hendersonville, N.C., formerly of South Bend, died Sunday in Heritage Center, Hendersonville. Mr. Knoblock retired as the owner of AC & H Co., Evansville, Ind. He was born Feb. 21, 1924, in Indianapolis.

His wife, Edith L. Knoblock, died in 1990. He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Steele of Leesburg; two sons, Michael of Fort Wayne and Pat of Wabash, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Mary Christine Perkins of South Bend and Charlee Bressler of Orlando, Fla.; a stepson, Charles Solloway of Orlando; five grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

He was a graduate of Culver Military Academy and the University of Michigan and was a veteran of World War II.
