Leona M. Knoblock

Mishawaka - Leona M. Knoblock, 86, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away of natural causes at 7:10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, in Countryside Place Nursing Facility, Mishawaka.

 

She was born on Nov. 5, 1916, in Mishawaka, to Michael and Stella (Bohdanowicz) Budzin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Helen Grant; and brothers, William, Victor and Michael Budzin.

 

On Jan. 11, 1941, she married Paul Knoblock, who also preceded her in death in February 1972.

 

She is survived by a brother, Francis Budzin of Fort Wayne, Ind. She is also survived by daughters, Pauline (Don) Scholer of Carmel, Ind., and Suzie (Rich) Jaeger of Basking Ridge, N.J.; a son, Tom (Trudy) Knoblock of Osceola, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Mark Knoblock of Mishawaka, Audrey Murray of Granger, Ind., Greg Scholer of Carmel, Doug Scholer of Cincinnati, Ohio, Amy Angelopoulos of Fairport, N.Y., Tim Jaeger of San Diego, Calif., and Dan Jaeger of Basking Ridge. She was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

 

Mrs. Knoblock retired in 1981 from Uniroyal after 27 years of service. Leona was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Mishawaka.

 

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with Fr. James Stoyle officiating.

 

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
