Donald Andrew Kobb

GRANGER - Donald Andrew Kobb, 71, of Indiana 23, died at 9:17 a.m. Friday in his home after an illness. Mr. Kobb retired in 1988 from Bendix Corp. after 35 years as a senior engineering specialist. He was born Dec. 5, 1922, in Mishawaka.

 

On May 18, 1946, in Livonia, Mich., he married Lois Jean Morris. She survives, with a daughter, Kathleen Ann Switalski of Northville, Mich.; two sons, Kenneth W. of South Bend and Thomas W. of Coburn, Pa.; seven grandchildren; a sister, Helen Phelps of South Bend; and two brothers, Arkie Kobb of Mishawaka and Richard Kobb of Edwardsburg. He was a member of St. Pius X Church, a veteran of World War II, a graduate of Indiana University, an avid carpenter and gardener, and a collector of Studebaker cars.

 

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Monica Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, where Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360 will conduct military rites. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., where a rosary service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday.
