Arlene M. Koboldt, 80, of Syracuse, Ind., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died at 3:28 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Arlene was born in Berrien Springs, Mich., on Oct. 5, 1921, to Earl and Myrtle (Phillips) Stover. Mrs. Koboldt was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Fred; a granddaughter, Shelby; and by four brothers, Henry, Richard, Wade and Louis.

 

She married Carl Koboldt in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Woodland, Ind., on Oct. 9, 1948. He survives. Surviving along with her husband of 52 years are two daughters, Carol (Mike) Camper of Orland, Calif., and Doris (John) Bowerman of Odessa, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Vivian Adams of Berrien Springs. Arlene worked as a groundskeeper along with her husband at Stanley Clark School. She was a member of Shepherd By The Lakes Lutheran Church in Syracuse. Mrs. Koboldt was a loving and caring person as witnessed by all who knew her.

 

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today, Dec. 26, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, and one hour prior to services Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, with Rev. Paul D. Kienker and Rev. Don Stuckwisch Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.
