Justin F. Kolber

Justin F. Kolber, 18, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2005, in Irish Hill Apartments, South Bend.

Justin was born on February 28, 1987, in Philadelphia, PA, to Neal and Judy (Braunsdorf) Kolber. He moved to the South Bend area in 1990, coming from Fort Lauderdale, FL, and had resided here ever since.

Justin is survived by his parents; his sister, Martina Kolber; his maternal grandparents, Warren and Rosie Braunsdorf of South Bend; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Sandy Kolber of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Judy Kolber; and by paternal great-grandparents, Martin and Freida Goldberg.

Justin worked as a sterilist for The Dental Center of South Bend. He was a graduate of Riley High School, Class 2005, where he was in the DECA Association, ran the Wildcat Den, and received the Turnaround Achievement Award and the Student Honors Program Award. He volunteered community services, including Pet Refuge and was in the Irish Youth Hockey League for 10 years. Justin was a father figure to Cameron Gerenscer.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday, July 15, 2005, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 16, 2005, in Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend, with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Justin F. Kolber Trust Fund, c/o Teachers Credit Union, 110 S. Main St., South Bend, IN 46601, Member #187910, Account #4.
