Carlott C. Koloszar

 May 31, 1922 - Jan. 31, 2010
SOUTH BEND - Carlott Claire Koloszar, 87, formerly residing at Woodridge Assisted Living, 17650 Generations Drive, South Bend, IN, and Golden Living Center, 609 W. Tanglewood Lane, Mishawaka, IN, for several years-passed away at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2010. She suffered a fall in her room, was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana and died a short time later in the Emergency Room. She was born May 31, 1922, in Mishawaka, IN, the daughter of Harvey and Phylis Annie (Robins) Cline. In 1947, Carlott married her prince, full blooded Hungarian, George Louis Koloszar, who preceded her in death on November 10, 1991. She was a homemaker, and devoted, loving wife, and caring mother. Carlott possessed integrity, wisdom, strong family values, and moral discipline. She graduated from Mishawaka High School, and Indiana Vocational Technical College (with honors). Legally blind, and partially deaf throughout most of her later life, she was a strong willed, witty, and supportful woman. Fighting her disabilities, she never gave up. A quitter she was not; a true survivor. Caring and compassionate, God gave her wide shoulders to bear the heavy burdens that life often placed on her and her family. Outgoing and friendly, always helping others, she will be dearly missed. Carlott is survived by her son, Kurt Koloszar, Sr. of South Bend, IN; two natural born grandchildren (Kurt Jr. and Kim); seven adopted grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and "Maggie", her service dog. A special thank you from the Koloszar family to "Pat" at WoodRidge, and the many friends she had. Private services will be held at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home- Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be offered to the Koloszar family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
