John C. Konya

December 12, 1889 – September 29, 1976

John C. Konya, 86, of 1980 Orange, Niles, died at 1:30pm Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after length illness.  Konya was a retired tool and die maker.  Born on December 12, 1889, in Hungary, he had lived here 55 years, coming from Detroit.  On February 21, 1911, in Chicago, he married Helen I. Kuczmanski, who died April 27, 1967.  Surviving are two sons, Robert J and John A, both of Niles; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Krah of Granger and Josephine Konya, at home; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Friday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William.  Konya was a member of the Christ the King Catholic Church.
