SOUTH BEND - Marie Margaret Koontz,
83, of East Calvert Street, died at 7:25 a.m. today in Cardinal
Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Koontz was born Nov.
11, 1912, in Sopron, Hungary, and lived in South Bend since 1920.
On Aug. 8, 1934, in South Bend, as Marie Wager,
she married Everett Karl Koontz. He died April 12, 1982. She is
survived by a daughter, Louise E. Yohe of Newark, Del.; a son,
Everett J. of Salem, Ore.; three grandchildren; one
great-grandchild; and three sisters, Helen Pesci and Irene
Vellucci, both of South Bend, and Patricia Klusczinski
of California.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in St.
Matthew Cathedral. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour before
services Saturday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home,
where a parish rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
