Stella J. Kosik, 94, of Fountainview Place of Mishawaka, formerly of Florence Avenue, South Bend, passed away at 10:05 P.M., Saturday, November 25, 2000, in the nursing facility. Mrs. Kosik was born on November 15, 1906, and was a lifelong resident. She was formerly employed with Singer Corporation.
As Stella J. Walkowiak, she married Alfred T. Ciesielski, who died at a young age. She later married Joseph Kosik, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Alfred T. Ciesielski; three brothers, Walter Walkowiak, John Walkowiak, Martin Walkowiak; and three sisters, Cela Heminger, Helen Zakrocki and Mary Nemeth. She is survived by three granddaughters, Connie (Dave) Jelinski of Granger, IN, Cindy (Mike) Portolese of Granger, IN, Cathy (Maurie) VanBruaene of Mishawaka, IN; and six great- grandchildren, Lyndsey, Dustin, Nick, Adam, Courtney, Christy.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 28, 2000, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Friends may call from 2 until 6 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Mrs. Kosik was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish.
