Mrs. Catherine Kotal, aged 70, of 1419 West Indiana Avenue, died at 11:50 o’clock Thursday morning after four weeks illness of a heart ailment. She was born in Pamhagan, Austria, Oct. 1, 1865 and came to South Bend from that country 37 years ago,

On April 4, 1900 she was married here to Frank Kotal, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Joseph and John Kotal, of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Martin, of Detroit, Mich. and Mrs. Joseph Dumas of South Bend; two brothers, Martin and Balthauser Bliech, both of South Bend.

The body may be viewed in the home. The funeral will be held at 9 o’clock Monday morning

from St. Mary’s German Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Oswald CSC, pastor, chanting the high requiem mass.

Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Kotal was a member of the Altar Society of St. Mary’s Church.
